Hello, we are here tonight to an interview with Luís Lopes, manager asddasda from WalrusPT.
Interviwer: Goodnight!
Asddasda: Goodnight. First, let me say i am grateful to be here tonight to talk about my team.
I: Yeah, that's exactly it! So, here comes the first question. There have been some rumours that say that your best rider, Godo Figueiredo, is on the move to another team. Can you confirm this?
A: Yes, it is true. I can't confirm neither the buyer nor the values involved. Godo was a bit unhappy. He is a great rider, but the rest of the team couldn't give the support he needs. I think this move, will be great for him. And for course i wish all the best, he could be one of the best in OCM.
I: And now without him, how are things gonna work?
A: Well, it's certainly going to be difficult in the beginning.
First i want the team to be bigger, with 11 riders, and with the money i am going to develop one or two trainees with potencial.
Godo is a great rider, and will be going hard to replace him, but i'm confident. Money surely brings some more leeway to the team.
I: Tell us what's like to be manager of a cycling team here?
A: It's awesome! Be able to be part of these and try to do your best to be with the big boys. That's of course my dream, the Top Division. But the road is long, which makes me keep going.
I: Yes, that's the dream of all the managers. What are your expectations for the season?
A: The first one, is to hold the struggle we are going to have without a captain. So train someone will be needed. Then, i want to climg back to at least Division 4.
